November 14, 2024 – The Haliburton, Kawartha, Pine Ridge District Health Unit (HKPR District Health Unit) is urging residents to take proactive steps to prevent the spread of influenza and other respiratory illnesses following the season’s first laboratory-confirmed case of Influenza in the City of Kawartha Lakes

October 15, 2024 - The Haliburton, Kawartha, Pine Ridge, District Health Unit (HKPR District Health Unit) would like to advise media and the community of an upcoming Board of Health meeting scheduled for Thursday, October 17, 2024 at 10:00 a.m.

October 10, 2024 – The Haliburton, Kawartha, Pine Ridge District Health Unit is reminding everyone to stay safe this upcoming respiratory illness season by staying up to date on vaccinations. It is recommended that everyone get their flu, COVID-19 and Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV) shots (if applicable) as soon as they become available.

September 16, 2024 – This fall the HKPR District Health Unit is teaming up again with participating veterinarians throughout the City of Kawartha Lakes, County of Haliburton and Northumberland County to provide Reduced-Cost Rabies Vaccination Clinics.
