PORT HOPE, ON (July 8, 2024) – The Haliburton, Kawartha, Pine Ridge District Health Unit (HKPR District Health Unit) is proud to announce the launch of its Pledge and the Programs and Services Experience Survey (Survey), a pivotal step in its ongoing commitment to providing critical health support to the public in the HKPR District area.

The Pledge is a promise to clients, community partners, and the public, serving as the cornerstone for how staff at the HKPR District Health Unit strive to respect and engage with clients. The Pledge encompasses seven fundamental commitments:

  1.       Treat you with courtesy and respect.
  2.       Listen and work with you to best meet your needs.
  3.       Respond in a timely manner.
  4.       Make health information easy to understand.
  5.       Make our programs and services as inclusive and accessible as possible.
  6.      Keep your personal information safe.
  7.      Make improvements based on the feedback you provide.

At the heart of this initiative lies the Survey, designed to gather feedback aligned with the seven core promises outlined in the Pledge. The Survey provides invaluable insights into the experiences of individuals who have utilized the HKPR District Health Unit’s programs and services.

We Want to Hear From You!

While the Survey primarily focuses on improving experience, it's important to note that it is anonymous, so the HKPR District Health Unit will not follow-up with you regarding your responses and feedback. Feedback gathered will be used to improve program and service quality.

"We are dedicated to ensuring that every interaction with the HKPR District Health Unit is positive and impactful," said Fiona Kelly, Director, and Chief Nursing Officer, with the HKPR District Health Unit. "The Programs and Services Experience Survey is instrumental in helping us understand our strengths and pinpoint areas for improvement, ultimately allowing us to better serve our diverse community.”
