PORT HOPE, ON (May 9, 2024) - The Haliburton, Kawartha, Pine Ridge, District Health Unit (HKPR District Health Unit) would like to advise media and the community of an upcoming Board of Health meeting scheduled for Thursday, May 16, at 9:30 a.m.

The Board of Health meeting will be held in-person at HKPR District Health Unit – Lindsay Office, 108 Angeline Street South, Lindsay, and recorded LIVE and uploaded to the HKPR District Health Unit’s YouTube Channel.

Items on the Board of Health meeting agenda include:

·        Medical Officer of Health Updates

·        Reports: Abby Tabaco, Emergency Management Health Hazard Coordinator, will provide the Board of Health with a presentation on the Health Unit’s role as it relates to the 2024 International Plowing Match

·        New Business: Q1-2024 Board of Health Quarterly Report

·        New Business: 2023 Annual Report

·        Correspondence: Canadian Public Health Association – A Public Health Approach to Sex Work
