Immunizations for Daycare
Under the Child Care and Early Years Act (CCEYA), the HKPR District Health Unit helps ensure children in daycare are fully immunized.
How it works:
- Parents give immunization records to daycare staff during registration.
- Daycare staff send copies of immunization records to the Health Unit.
- Every year the immunization records are reviewed for all children in daycare.
- Letters are sent home to parents if immunizations are missing from records.
- Parents inform daycare staff know when their child gets a new vaccine.
